So I have done a significant amount of searching, both here, and on google. I have not been able to find any sort of detailed tech on removing the motor from a 300. Does anyone have a tech on engine removal. This isn't the first motor I have pulled, however it is the first motor that has a driveline that I have pulled. I am sure I could do it, but I don't want to mess anything up. I suppose a tech isn't all that important, but are there any tip/tricks that any of you fine gentlemen/women would be willing to share to ease the process?

Some of the procedures for removing the engine head during headgasket install procedure apply. Disconnect all the sensors, timing belt & radiator fan shroud etc, grounding wires, and entire eletrical harness from the engine. Then, while supporting the transmission with a transmission jack, unbolt the bolts holding the transmission to the engine. (Make sure the car is in neutral if you have a 5 speed):

I'm probably forgetting a lot of steps, but that is the general idea. Get yourself a service manual before doing this. You can get electronic versions for $10 online.

95 Integra

I havent pulled the motor out of my SC yet, but I can assure you that pulling it with the tranny still attached is most likely a pita due to the length and angle you have to get to pull it out. I'm also almost 100% sure that you'll need to take the hood off to accomplish it. I very well might just take teh tranny off first when I pull mine.

Pulling the engine from mine wasn't too difficult. You can pull it with the tranny attached, remove your radiator and just work slowly, definately have someone help you.

You do not need to remove the hood. Simply, unbolt the hood shocks from the engine bay. This allows you to raise the hood farther up than the trunk shocks would allow. You can see it in the pictures of my thread link I provided.

95 Integra

Ah...on the integra (no hood shocks) you could open it all the way vertical which was a nice feature....all the same, when i take my engine out the hood will come off to get it out of the way and to allow for better lighting since my overhead is behind the hood and the hood creates a shadow.
