I need your help! *Transmission fluid change*
Hey guys, I am in the middle of taking off my transmission pan. I took out all the screws and it is somewhat off, but something is keeping it from coming all the way off. Has anybody ever taken off their tranny pan before? If so, what is keeping it from coming all the way off? How did you guys get around this? Thanks in advance for your help!

A few thoughts on this topic:
Dealer service (usually 45.00 on special) is a drain & refill. Just that, pull the plug
on the bottom of the pan & refill w/ 2-4 quarts of new fluid.
Fluid exchange (usually 100+ w/ fluid) A machine is tapped in line that exchanges ALL
the fluid in the trans. system including the converter & cooler.
R&R pan & clean the filter. The filter should be a fine METAL screen that is reusable.
Clean it out w/ brake clean from the inside out & reassemble. The trans will still
only receive 2-4 quarts of new fluid.
Since its your OWN car, I would replace the filter since you have already gone to
all the trouble of getting the pan down. * Although most dealers don't normally
stock the filter unless they do internal transmission repairs on site.
