It's not that hard just remove the serp belt, get a strong crank pulley to pull off the hydraulic pulley..When removing the bolt on the pulley it is reverse threading so turn the oposite way or you will strip it and be ruined......The pulley will pop off and may suprise you, try and protect the radiator...Anyway once the pulley is removed, remove the 6 face Hydraulic fan bolts and that is it the face of the pump will then slide ouy and the two vane guts will come right out also...Change all that stuff out with the new pump, face, seals and vanes...It's alot simpler then it sounds...The seals are rubber no silicon needed.. May I ask what is your pump doing that you need to replace it?

I altered my pump and went with electric fans...but this is a pic of what it will look like with the face removed... If you have trouble you can PM me...Just take is slow... You don't want to replace the entire pump that gets alot harder and 99% of the time not the problem... If your pump is failing your pump cylinoid may be bad and not the pump itself.. Try unscrewing that first it is the big black bolt that connects to the pump and the power wire attaches to that....That activates the pump. Unscrew the cylinoid and change with the new one....With that you don't need to remove anything and will take you 5 minutes..

There is a good chance that power to the pump is cut and that is why it is not working...That would stink...Again tell me what is wrong....Leak is better then not working at all.. Or a loud grinding noise would be good too atleast your pump is powering up...Let me know

I'm having trouble getting this pump for my 1993 SC400. No one seems to have it except the dealer and its charging me $1800.
No luck with junk yards either. Any help is highly appreciated.

Thanks,

JP

I have one from my 95 sc400 that was working perfect when I removed it to install the supercharger. Electric fans now. Let me know if you're interested.
