Default Muffler for Exhaust?

Well i might be doing the exhaust work on my SC400 soon, ie near future. I will be doing perhaps most likely 3" Mendrel Bend piping from the manifold straight to the mufflers no cats, well i was lookin on ebay for some mufflers. I like the sound of the Magnaflows 14829's. Now i found these on ebay.

Here are links:
These are if i keep the stock 2.25 inch and make it straight piping.

This ones for if i do 3 inch straight mendrel.

Admin if this is against forum rules please tell me and i will remove the links. Thanks.

I wouldn't go any higher than 2.5 inch. I would do a true dual exhaust. 2.25inch piping (so you don't lose any low end power) from headers to an x pipe then dual again into the magnaflow 14829's. Couple that with headers, bfi, and a torque converter and you will go from this to this . LOL!

Check this out. https://www.clublexus.com/forums/sho...ight=true+dual

Well the thing is i thought of a supercharger in the far future once i settle down. I wanted 3", but i dont really mind losing low end torque. If i do lose that how much could it affect the car? Performancewise?

Also that sound clip is gone. Can anyone supply me with it?

You will def. notice a loss in low end power. I did a single 2.5 inch piping from cat. to my HKS muffler on my sc300 and noticed a little loss in low end power, but a little better on the top end. If you are doing full true dual 3 inch you will more than likely lose more than I did. PM liveSC400 about the sound clip.
How soon would you be doing the supercharger? You can go ahead and do 3inch if you are doing it soon. But I wouldn't want to be driving around with that low end power lost for a long time.

Thanks bud for the help

I guess i'll do the 2.5 inch setup from manifold all the way to mufflers. now about the ebay mufflers? are they worth looking at??? i checked the prices and they are cheaper than from the magnaflow website itself.

Well if they are genuine magnaflows then go for it. Make sure they still come with the warranty. Also check out www.justmagnaflow.com and www.hottexhaust.com .

Yes, I was one of the first to do this whole setup. Search my man!

I used hottexhaust with the coupon and got them real cheap.
