Default Oil Change!

I have a '92 SC400, just got an oil change and my oil light is constantly coming on and off. Is anyone else having this problem and what do I need to do? Any suggestions would be helpful. Thanks!

Pop the hood and check the oil stick, they always assume it takes a certain amount of oil. Lot of times they have other cars and forget to check the oil stick after a job.

Thanks...I did that and the oil level seems to be okay.

I had a friend with the same problem and he had a clogged oil filter that wasnt allowing oil pressure to get past.....which later cost him a new engine because we thought it was just a glitch.

This is the same oil filter that should have been replaced with my oil change right?

Correct, but just in case I would replace the oil filter since it costs $10 at most.

Not so unusual a problem with our cars.

The key word you are missing on your search is "flicker".

which of the two oil lights turn on and off? The yellow one means low oil level and the red one means low oil pressure.

It's the yellow light.....Could this still be the oil filter?

No, the oil filter would be the red one only.
