Default manual conversion Q

I just recently did the manual conversion on my 94 sc300, just a stock 5 speed swap, i've done everything but the clutch pedal, master, and slave.

with everything else complete, it SHOULD start up, but it wont, i tried connecting what i thought to be the neutral saftey switch together, and then i even connected the whole auto shifter assy. back up and simulated the car being in park... still nothing.

some ppl on clublexus.com say they didnt need to wire anything, which i thought was weird. i tried this as well and still nothing...

I am using the Manual ecu, and the only thing that isn't connected, that should be is a sensor on the tranny, because there isnt a plug that connects on my harness for some reason, but again, that shouldn't keep it from starting...

when i turn the key to on, i get power, then attempting to start, there is nothing, no cranking, no click, nothing.

The car did start up fine before the swap...

Any help is appreciated, thank you.

on the factory 5 speed cars theres a start inhibit switch on the clutch pedal bracket. you have to
push the clutch in, then the engine will crank. we bypass it by jumping the 2 pins together on
the harness connector. a paper clip works just fine.

Thank you.

On the factory 5speed SC its there, but is it really there on the factory Auto? I too am dealing with this problem. There is a solution but someone wont share the info.

if it is there, toyota will tape it back to the main harness w/ white tape. the connector
is white w/ 2 wires. 1 is black & other is black w/ white tracer ('92 5 speed). those
wires do run back behind the left kick panel. i'd pull the panel out & see if its taped
back behind there.

Default wiring

i just got done with the 5 speed swap into a 93 about 3 hours ago and the only wire that is juped is the two female wire holes in the neutral saftey switch harness that connects to the auto trans.... you can put a 30 amp fuse in it and it will start in any gear with the clutch unpressed or you can run two wires ( one wire for each) and run them to the clutch pedal saftey switch.... i just need to know how to connect the backup light to the trans.....? its the red/black wire but have no plug????

Can I ask you to take a picture? I think it would give me and the rest of the guys a much better idea of what you are talking about. I keep hearing about these switches but never about their location. Also, MKIV.NET has the answer to your question about the reverse lights.

yes please pics, or at least a more accurate description, is this plug on the harness inside the console, or on the lower transmission harness underneath the car? what color are the wires? also, why did u add a fuse, is that needed?

Thanks for your help...

Posted this on supraforums, but figured clublexus members could use it too.
You can jump the wires directly at the ecu
the pins are
E10-7R (37)
E10-92 (39)
E10-10L(40)
not totally positive on which ones need to be jumped off the top of my head, but check it out and see if you can get it to start up.
