Oil usage?
Ever since I got my SC I've been paranoid about burning oil. Apparently it uses no oil, or not enough to register on the dipstick. But even though I know this I am still paranoid. I was just wondering if it is normal for an SC300 not to use any oil between changes?

I don't know what you guys are talking bout cuz mine eats up a crap load of oil. Then again I drive back and forth to school (5 hours round trip) every other week so maybe those highway miles are killing me.

mine eats oil too. car doesnt eat up the oil u just have leaks like me. not like leaking where you can see it on the ground. but through the seals. biggest leakage would be rear main seal, where the engine coonects to trany. speaking of which i have to get more oil today.. damn it.

yeah but then its just a show car with no miles and whats the fun in not driving it? Im with vjrc51 on all his posts today, that rx7 one made me crack up. I think with almost every ported motor i've worked on (most are pineapples) i've found atleast 1 oil leak. either way back to the topic at hand.... oil consumption is all about the condition of the vehicle. if you dont see any difference in oil levels be happy that you dont have any probs and move on, cant let previous car problems taint your view of your new car, otherwise id be worried about axles exploding once a month haha
