Default How fast are our cars? (manual)

I was just wondering how fast our 5spd STOCK SC300's are compared to a car thats comparable to it suchas a a civic or something.. is it any faster?.. i just feel that gears 1 and 2 r not fun, and I havnt driven too many other 5spds.. It our car considered "peppy" or is it just slow?.. I have a 1992 SC300 5spd.. heres some pics of it.. www.freewebs.com/nimski62

Personally, I think mine is slow as *****, in every gear...but relatively speaking, they aren't horribly slow.

I ran a 15.5@89 last year in the 1/4. Not a bad time, but kinda on the slow side for me.

Hope that helps.

15.7 @ 90mph for me stock
175hp/ 165tq on a dynojet dyno

not too bad for a 4000 lbs car with me in it... roughly.

i have an auto. its quick, at least compared to my corolla

but when compared to my 240 with an sr swap at around 300whp, its quite the turd.

though, like stated above, it has quite some potential.

Automatic cars are slow period, especially from the dead stop they are just plain slow.

on the roll theyre as fast as cars that run 15s in the et..

Ok. I'm a V-8 guy, but isn't the 1JZ a twin turbo by default?

I used to have a 3000GT VR-4 than ran 11.70 at 119mph... 457 awhp and 498 awtq, daily driven .

My sc300 feels like a damn slug...

an easy fix for this is going NA-T. My kit will arrive in about a week. I know it won't run 11's at almost 120mph, but it'll definately be a huge improvement over this 15 second crap
