Timing belt replacement...
#3
I had timing belt/water pump done in July of 04 for $1,080.00 from the stealership for my 97 400. The timing belt cost $95, the water pump was $163 and other misc parts were about $170. Labor for that was $640 (6.1 hours)
I wish I would have gone to the Toyota dealership instead. Either that, or I wish I were mechanically inclined

I have an SC300 not 400 and For the WP , TB, idler etc I paid $260 for the labor to a Toyota mechanic , who did it as side job in my garage.
What i wanna know is, was that a Lexus dealership Reggie? If so they must really like you there....I live in the SF Bay Area and im pretty sure it would be double that at a lexus dealer here.
Or is it just less work on an SC400 ?
