Quick update,

Tomorrow is a 1/4 mile track day at my local track. I don't know how many runs I'll be able to get, I'm pretty sure it will be crowded since they are having a big PTRA event / race on Saturday.

I haven't really had any good short times on the Hoosiers and my rear street tires were about worn out anyway, so I decided to try a pair of Nitto DR's. 275 40 17's, probably should have went with the 315 35 17 but oh well.

Wish me luck!

Another shot.

BTW, I'm looking forward to NOT having to change tires / wheels at the track.

Ran a 12.62 last night at 111.xx with a 1.936 60ft. New best.

This is on the nitto's. Still don't know why I can't manage some better 60's......

It kind of sucked, I only got three runs.

KC

Oh, and my car weighs 3728 with me in it + a 1/4 tank of gas and a laptop, not much else. I weigh about 190-200lbs so I guess that's pretty good for a 95, the heaviest year if I'm not mistaken.

Hey guys, found this video on youtube and thought you'd be interested. I have now idea who the filmer is but that's my car at the Zmax dragway a few weeks back. And yes, that is a Vette I made look slow.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iFHQH-Aruj0

I haven't beaten my 12.62 time yet but have gotten close a few times despite the much higher temps lately.

The last few times at the track I've had tuning issues. Running water meth and no intercooler. The most recent time, I ran a few 12.8's - 12.9's with my AFR pegged below 10:1. I've got that issue fixed but haven't been back yet.

Also been having another problem, the brakes won't hold the car when stalling, wants to creep forward over 2200 rpm.

Ya, it's pretty funny. I like the "what's goin on here, whaats goinnnn on!?".

FYI guys, I ran a 7.874 1/8 mile on 9-11. Went to a 1/4 track on 9-16 and could only manage a best 1/8 of 8.058 which resulted in a 12.516 1/4 mile time. Was humid as hell in Darlington (1/4).

Planning to go back this Wednesday, forecast is cool, clear and dry. Hopefully I will run some 12.0's!

And, from now on, I will update my times here - https://www.clublexus.com/forums/per...1-8-times.html

Subscribe to the thread if interested! Hope to get some videos soon, in car if nothing else.

I did post just not hear. Seems as though there is no interest in this thread so I started a new one for my times.

But yes, went 12.047.

I hope to break the 12 second barrier one way or the other, I think I should be able to run 11.8's to 11.9's. Just a matter of being on the right track with the right weather with the right launch. If not, I might look into a small nos shot.

Gonna do it or blow it up trying. LOL. Hopefully will be running this Saturday coming up.

You may watch out for that NOS. I think your stock 1UZ is pushing its limit already. But congrats!!!

KC I know this has probably been asked a million times but what kind of power are you making ? And what's your setup like performance wise.

Yes! And, have been boosting for over 2 years including a couple of hundred track runs.

Ya, I know. One of those things that I think about allot but don't really have the guts to do it. LOL.

Power, don't know. Made 350rwhp on the dyno back when I was trapping at 106mph. Using the calculators (which vary a bit) and knowing that my car weighs in at about 3600lbs with me in it I'd say anywhere between 400-430rwhp with traps at about 115mph.

I've been working on a complete mod list. Probably missing something.

Stock transmission built with IPT valve body, IPT 2nd gear sprag and IPT rebuild kit.
Disconnected no4 solenoid
3000ish stall Dragon convertor
Rather large fluid cooler
Torsen LSD center installed into stock rear
