Supra Auto TT LSD Install in sc300 pumpkin?
#19
I put an entire supra TT auto diff in my soarer. The only thing i had to do was swap the yolks. The supra yolk and the soarer driveshaft holes were off a few MM. The 3.26 gears are nice...

I had started a thread about LSD's a few days ago, but I was wondering if anyone had any thoughts on using a MK4 TT LSD, vs buying a Kaaz LSD that's actually FOR an SC300? Is there any benefits to doing either besides the fact the Kaaz costs a bit more?

I thought the Kaaz are about $900 and the eom MKIV TT LSD is in the range of $1,700. I'm talking new here. Are you comparing used MKIV lsd to a new Kaaz?

Yes, I'm talking used vs new Kaaz. I would never spend that kind of money on a new TT diff, but that's just me. I just wanted to hear why one would choose one over the other, besides money, and the Kaaz 2-way being a bit louder in a parking lot.

Well I drag/drift my soarer with a TT supra diff, and it does it's job day in and day out. I've hit 270km/h (or so) I ran 7.10 in the 1/8 and I can drift it. Not to mention I got the supra diff for $42.
+1 for supra diff

Supra twin turbo automatic torsen limited slip differential has been installed into my Lexus SC300 Rear differential housing. Everything feels butter smooth and the car is so much more stable when turning and braking now, it feels much safer and predictable to drive. When I accelerate or go WOT (wide open throttle), the car now goes straight instead of toqueing to the side and making the rear-end squirley.
