Just purchased mine at MVP motorsports. Fast delivery, less than 5 days. Paid $958 + $158 for installation kit. New Seals, Bearing and Sealant. $35 for shipping, very impressed with the service. I think they are Vendors here but for sure on Supra Forum.
Part # 41301-JS402 for Auto TT LSD and LSD Install Kit(PTR04-00026). Hope this helps.

Nate,
thanks for the part number and pricing info. I'm just curious, why didn't you get the TRD clutch-type lsd for a similar price?

According to TRD and MVP this is a clutch/Mech. Plus it's 1.5 or 2 way selectable. Here's the write up from TRD:

The TRD mechanical LSD is 1.5-way selective, and can optionally be switched over to a 2-way without any additional parts. (It can only be 1.5-way on Vitz models and 2-way on FR vehicles.)
With the 1.5-way, the LSD functions most during acceleration, and is weaker when not accelerating. (The 1.5-way is designed for novices, since vehicle control becomes more difficult when the engine is used to brake.)
With the 2-way, the LSD functions when not accelerating as well, providing excellent vehicle control under a variety of conditions.
■ Because the limited slip capacity is provided using a number of clutch plates, it exhibits a direct, reliable LSD effect.

Most Supra owners uses the TRD over other brands, due to ease of install and power handling capabilities (800+ Hp), not to say there maybe better brands out there ie, Cusco. But I don't need or want 2-Way LSD, due to drivabality.

Oh I forgot, make sure you purchase from Toyota the 10 carrier ring bolts. The originals ones that are removed cannot be reused, due to stretching. The torque specification are quite high when installing them. Prt # 90105-12219.

Nope it's Open DIff, but from my understanding, TRD LSD Auto will fit SC300/400, there are few 400 on the forum running them, do a search to find out who and you can pm them for more specific information.

basically, this is how it works.

there are 6mt cars, 5mt cars and 4eat/5eat (automatic) cars

the 6mt car has a special diff. only car with 6mt is mk4 tt 6mt

4eat and 5mt cars have identical lego parts diffs- gearing may be differnt, but all parts are interchangable

MK4 TT was avail in 4eat or 6mt. the 4eat had an OEM LSD. that LSD will Plug and play into all LS400, GS300/300, SC300/400, and MK4 supra TT and NA - the only thing it does not work with is the 6mt supra.

so all toyota LS400, GS300/300, SC300/400, and MK4 supra TT and NA is same, unless 6mt.

if you have a 6mt car, you need 6mt lsd. if you have 5mt or 4eat car, you need "auto tt LSD or TRD LSD for auto TT mk4 supra.

Amen brother, I knew it was something like that. That should clear up all the LSD questions regarding fit.
