Yes, the stock oem SC300 ring gear and pinion shaft were re-used, thereby retaining same final drive ratio as a stock sc300 .

I put an entire supra TT auto diff in my soarer. The only thing i had to do was swap the yolks. The supra yolk and the soarer driveshaft holes were off a few MM. The 3.26 gears are nice...

I had started a thread about LSD's a few days ago, but I was wondering if anyone had any thoughts on using a MK4 TT LSD, vs buying a Kaaz LSD that's actually FOR an SC300? Is there any benefits to doing either besides the fact the Kaaz costs a bit more?

I thought the Kaaz are about $900 and the eom MKIV TT LSD is in the range of $1,700. I'm talking new here. Are you comparing used MKIV lsd to a new Kaaz?

Yes, I'm talking used vs new Kaaz. I would never spend that kind of money on a new TT diff, but that's just me. I just wanted to hear why one would choose one over the other, besides money, and the Kaaz 2-way being a bit louder in a parking lot.

Well I drag/drift my soarer with a TT supra diff, and it does it's job day in and day out. I've hit 270km/h (or so) I ran 7.10 in the 1/8 and I can drift it. Not to mention I got the supra diff for $42.

+1 for supra diff

Im not sure what kind of diff the soarers have stock, but I know it was a useless 1 wheel wonder diff in my soarer.

this thread is a thing of beauty. I am glad this resurfaced. I will be using this as a guide for sure when I drop in my LSD.

Good stuff here! I know that the MKIV n/a lsd will bolt in and keep the same gear ratios, but will the TT auto lsd change the ratios?

There you have it folks! It works. There has been some confusion on this subject for quite a while. Great Job Dejacky. Now I know what else to add to my list of Mods.
