Thanks KingPhilip, but yea believe me when I say I've read your thread like a manual, cover to cover. Some really good info shared there, and I'm definitely planning on changing my RLCA and RUCA bushings next. Hopefully that should address the good amount of squeaking I can hear coming from the rear of the car.
Thanks for the specs on the mount, btw. Its much appreciated.

I am a new owner of a 92 SC400 and the vibration / sound when decelerating was a big worry for me when I bought the car. Of course, it was also why I was able to buy the car a lot less than the asking price. I replaced the Trans Mount this past weekend and what a change.
What a great DIY! Thank you.

Just wanted to say I had new tranny mount put on my SC400 yesterday. 163k miles on the original. The difference is like night and day. No more clunk going into reverse, and no more weird vibrations and noises on the highway. For $50 I should have done it a year ago. Had a couple of gear head friends throw it on for me, took less then 40 minutes.

Did it today on my car along with an ATF drain/fill. Makes a huge difference. Car vibration is soo much less and tranmission shifts soo smoothly (95 SC400 164,000 miles)
Got the part from Sewell Lexus $68 with club lexus discount. Local dealership wanted $110

bumping this thread, because I need to do mine, so is everyone just using the same transmission mount? I mean I called lexus and Toyota up and the prices for the mounts are pretty much the same and they both gave me different part numbere. is there a major difference between the two? I take it an NA supra 5 speed mount will still fit on my auto sc400? Going rate now is around 95 + tax which is double of what you guys were paying 6 years ago haha.

I wouldn't mess with Supra parts for a SC400
I want to do this but want to stop the oily situation first so the oil doesn't break down the mount prematurely

I just had the motor mounts replaced, which helped a lot, and am going to replace the transmission mount this week.
What are the rest of the torque specs?
It looks like 19 ft-lb for the nuts that hold the mount to the crossmember but what about the bolts that hold the mount to the trans and the bolts that hold the crossmember to the chassis?
