Default oil pump (2jzge and 2jzgte = same?)

i'm currently deciding whether or not if its worth piecing together a 2jzgte...

and need to know... first of all

where is the oil pump on a 2jzgte... and can the one from a 2jzge work?

and I'd search... but supraforums is down

Yes a GE oil pump will work. The blocks are identical with the exception of the oil squirters.

15100-46042 2JZ-GE OBD-I
15100-46052 2JZ-GTE
15100-46091 2JZ-GE OBD-II

Oil pumps are clearly not the same.

are you saying a ge pump wont bolt up to a gte? or are you saying the pressure is different being gte is TT? or just PN and OBD different?

I think the pressure is different because the GTE pump supports the turbos, the squirters, the oil cooler.

I doubt the crank sensors are the same so will there be any difference in mounting the crank sensor?

Only the OBD2 2jz na have the crank sensor hole on the Oil Pump and yes the oil pumps don't have the same part numbers but it should work.
If you need one just buy the tt oil should be about the same price maybe even cheaper, like the water pump the TT water pump is cheaper than the na..

The crank sensors are the same part numbers.

I wish I just installed the TT oil pump when I had everything out so I would be able to install the crank gear and have the better gte crank pickup.

It would make sense if the GTE has a higher pressure rating compared to the GE since the GTE requires more oil due to the turbo(s).
