Default Where does this tube from the Charcoal Canister connect to?

I've been looking through my repair manual and I can't seem to find anything.

I'm trying to figure out where this tube connects to. I think it may have something to do with the fuel pressure in the tank because everytime I open the gas cap it just goes PSSSSSSSSSSSSS forever!!!

After reading some posts it may have to do with my bad gas milage/ possibly even engine stumbling due to the pressure in the gas tank. Anyways I figured even if it didn't fix these two problems it should probably be reconnected anyways.

Heres a pic, I just need a place to plug it into!

Tim

The tube comes from the bottom of the canister so its hard to see from any pics where it actually would connect to. And searches for charcoal canister and vapor canister gave me info about them, but nothing about replacing, etc. I'll go search around my engine bay tomorrow...there has to be something missing a plug.

Maybe it is a one-way check valve to allow air in or something like that and therefore does not actually connect to anything.

My gas cap makes the exact same noise. It did it too on my old 92 sc400. I thought maybe it was just normal. But is it a problem I should be concerned with?

Same here...mine has always done that (for the 13 months that I've had her)...well, if I drive a very short distance, then open the gas cap, no PSSSST sound...but if I drive any more and then open the gas cap....PSSSSSSSSSSSSSST.......

is that something I should be concerned about? anything I should do / be doing about it?
