My 1JZ swap.
Well the motor came last Wednesday from JHOT. I started on the wiring yesterday lengthening the harness.... it's looking like a mess, but hopefully when it's done it all extends out and doesn't tangle up. Here are some pictures.... I'm basically opening this thread just for troubleshoot purposes and the pictures that people may be interested in seeing.
1JZ from JHOT still on the crate.
Wiring extension to the harness started.
Soarer fuel pump - does anyone know if this thing is worth putting in?
2JZ-GE engine harness pulled through the firewall, very simple.
Motor is loose, ready to come out.

We had some trouble with a few clips, connectors, etc that were on the lower portion of the engine. We finally got everything out... then we forget the linkage on the transmission. After it was completely loose we tugged forward on the motor hoist a few times and the driveshaft fell out. The motor was out in about 2.5 hours.
On the way out.
Pretty much out. I had to guide it a little so it didn't bang the car up.
Airborn.
Empty engine bay.
Looks like it's time to put something in there.

A few first questions after looking over the car and the 1JZ.
[1] This is the part # I ordered for the throttle cable: 78180-1b090 Cable Tt 2j Models Mkiv List 57.36 Cost 42.41
I hope this is the right one. I've seen where it was mentioned in another 1JZ thread that it was too short, but others have had no problems. Can someone expand on this?
Does the cable have to be attached behind the dash near the throttle pedal and then pulled through the firewall?
[2] The knock sensors. Did you remove the complete wire and run a new lengthened one? Or did you splice into it where the wires go into the main harness bundle? Also where did you get your shielded USB cable?
[3] The power steering resevoir. What setup did you use? I was thinking about taking my stocker and mounting it in a different location and running new lines.
[4] We can't figure out where the heater hoses attach on the 1JZ. Any help?

The inlet Heater hose that connects to the control valve comes off the pipe behind the rear turbo and the outlet hose connects to the opposite side of the engine block. Please disconnect the outlet heater core hose while the engine is out, its a PITA when the motor is in.
