Default vvti motor in non-vvti car?

is it possible to run a vvti motor out of a gs300 in a 93 sc300? i'd probably swap in na cams to get rid of the vvti but i was wondering how i'd handle the vvti motor not having a distributor.. The reason i ask is 'cos i am going na-t and my motor is really worn out.. My friend just did a gte swap in his gs300 and he's giving away his low mileage motor... Any thoughts? I really dont feel like rebuilding my 180,000 mile motor

Default

don't bother.

1) Wiring would be a disaster you'd need to swap ECUs, who knows how your transmission would respond.

2) the VVTi engines after 2000 (IIRC) have weaker rods... no good for boost.
