Default Hmm, so I have the opportunity to get free Supra parts....

A friend of mine is sending his Supra TT out to Texas to be fully built... and I mean everything possible. The car will be over 1250hp when it comes back, fully built suspension, etc etc. I told him I would buy his stock suspension off him and anything else that would be an upgrade for my car once the shop takes it off, and he says he will give me whatever I want, I just have to pay the shop to ship it from TX to OH

So, I already know I want whatever suspension parts I can get... and they are unfortunately keeping the brakes... does anyone else have any suggestions of what I should request? I think it's pretty stock under the hood as of now, but I'm dropping a stock 1JZ in my SC so MAYBE there would be some turbo stuff I could use.

Anyone want a stock auto TT tranny? lol

I have no idea if it bolts up to the stock 2JZGE or not... and it would be a biatch to ship that thing, but maybe if you're local to the shop who knows... it won't be for another few months most likley though until the Supra is done, so not sure when the parts will be ready.

The Supra tranny isn't a direct bolt-in like the Soarer automatic.

Nothing turbo-related off the 2JZ-GTE will co-exist with the 1JZ-GTE.

Hmm why did this get moved? It doesn't have to do with forced induction / transmission / engine... more suspension and brakes if anything, but it doesn't really fit in either category so I posted it in general sc300...

The injectors will drop in to the 1jz w/ a resistor pack... The map sensor will work for the 1jz and give a little more range (2.3 bar vs 2bar) the cams are a slight upgrade from the 1jz, but require machining for the first journal on the 2jz cams to fit the 1jz head

I'm sure we are talking about donor parts from a US 2JZ-GTE...

yes it's a usdm 2JZ. Just talked to my friend about it yesterday... I will be getting the Supra TT suspension, a boost controller, BOV, and possibly TT wheels if my other friend decides he doesn't want them. Does anyone know if the ehaust would be close to fitting on an SC300? I don't know what kind it is, but I know he paid a ton of money for it.

I don't want to beg for tooo many parts, but hey if he's offering, is there anything else I should request? lol

the exhaust is short a few inches. any muffler shop can make it work if you do not weld or have friends who can weld.

id request the sway bars and endlinks if possible and his lsd if he is getting a new one. other than that maybe his radiator if that too is up for grabs.

Oh, well that's good news... I was just concerned that the bends were similar and it would look decent. I wish he was getting rid of the radiator, we just found out mine is totally rotted out as of now

any news on the lsd? that would be a very nice piece to have. it sucks that your radiator is rotted out, but atleast you know it and havent boosted on it.
