First of all, a 1JZ/2JZ in a Silvia. WOW!

Second, this R154 shifter extension is intruiging. Could the extension that vipsoarer pioneered be available to anybody now? I'd rather give my money to vipsoarer, but it's good to know there is an option available. Interesting.

sorry fellas still not up to building the parts yet. i've been dipping into other ventures of income (i've been working on high end tuning for the past few months) and still havent found myself an a/c tig. most of my new work involves resin infused carbon and that ate up my budget for the tig.

I am not afiliated with 2jzswap.com but I will say I am starting to gather information as to why they are using my pictures especially when they have no idea that the trans used in the pics isnt even the r154 (idiots) and is actually a w58 with an extension. I plan on talking to my lawyer about the means that need to be taken to either gain some financial benefit from them using the pics or have them take them down. Anyone with internet law background want to help a fellow CL brother out on it ?

sc300turbo: Ill get pics up soon, the parts have come out really nice. There is nothing like a dry carbon wide body 996 . It may take a bit since tooling is taking forever to build.

Supraman24: what tig do you use? I have a dc syncrowave but lack an ac unit for aluminum. I might have some potential buyers for you since i dont have onstant access to the tig that is needed.

Since I havent had much time to build the units i built i am tempted to try and take the tail section shifter extension from the w58 and see if it can be bolted or slightly modded to fit r154. Off the top of my head it looks like it may work but i could be totally off since it has been so long since i last compared the two. Just another idea to try and make this even easier to build.... if anyone has a spare broken w58 id be willing to try and retrofit it to the r154.

That's an elegant solution should it work.

Hey VIP, I have an AC/DC squarewave TIG
If I can get a few people that want this I might make an entire kit like the boostlogic kit, but I'm shooting for around $1500. I'll have to see what kind of interest is out there.....

From the dead... but this is a great solution I am much more comfortable with this than the shifter extension not to mention able to use a real short throw shifter.. Now I've been trying to find out the details on removing part "33521" I often find myself doing more work than necessary when I don't ask and begin tearing things apart

you have to split the case, no way around it. I have the R154 manual in PDF if you need it.
