Hey guys if I were to convert my auto to a 5-speed; would I need a 5-speed VVT-i ECU since the stock ECU is a VVT-i auto one? Another question; this might be really lame, but does the SC come with 2 ECU's?? One for the tranny and another for everything else?

I don't know about your second question but for the first I don't think there were VVT-i 5-spd ECUs. (manual that is) As the later years did not have a manual (as you probably know). I don't know if you need to swap the ECUs but I'm pretty sure there isn't an existent 5-spd ECU. Unless the JDM Soarer 3.0s had VVT-i 5-spd ECUs.

Well as far as VVT-i ECU's go; I can probably use the '98 N/A Supra ECU since that model year came with VVT-i or the IS300 5-speed as well since it also came with VVT-i. I just was wondering whether the auto ECU is compatible.
