Default California Smog Laws for Engines?

I searched already, and maybe i didn't type the right keywords (mainly i just woke up and all i typed were variations of california, smog, and laws.) Well i know there's a website out there that gives the guidelines for motorswaps and legality of certain ones. Anyone want to provide me this info? =p

i dont think any non USDM engine is smog legal in California since they never came with the emissions equipment to begin with.

I'm not sure either, but just as an example I passed emissions with flying colors in Northern VA(which is pretty strict) I have a 1JZ with 4" piping of course I had a free flow cat on there though.

Its nothing new in California. I was shelling out $300 a year to "pass" smog with my sr20det in my 240sx. Clean air is nice though.
