Default Rebuilt starter on '93 SC300???

I may need a new starter on my '93 SC300. Getting a clicking noise occasionally on startup. Going to check all connections today. If thats not the problem then I probably will need a starter. I checked out this sight http://catalog.eautopartscatalog.com...F&part=Starter and found 2 types of rebuilt staters
1. Bosch for $104 with $75 core charge
2. Denso for $140 with $40 core charge

Has anyone used either og these? Thnx

I found the previous posts on Contacts and that was exactly what I needed to know. Does anyone happen to know the part number of the rebuild kit from Lexus. I called my local dealer and "ofcourse" they wanted to sell me a starter. Thanks

I had a similar problem with my starter on my '93 last year. I ended up going with a Bosch reman and it worked great. If you can spare the extra cash you should just change out the whole thing and be done with it. Your contacts are just the beginning of an eventual failure. I cleaned my contacts and that worked ok for about 6 months. Then suddenly one day - nothing. Luckily I was stranded at my work and could change it out in the parking lot over the weekend, but it WILL strand you. 12 years is damn good service from a starter, but I wouldn't expect much more without pressing your luck.

Check my post about it here.
