Default Exhaust Manifold Gasket

I just bought factory OEM exhaust manifold gaskets. I know they are 2 pieces with each connecting a bank of 3. Now the package I received has what seems to be the 2 pieces of the gaskets stamped together. Am I supposed to pry these apart? Each one looks like 2 pieces of metal stamped together so I'm looking at a 4 layer gasket right now. I don't know how I'm supposed to pry these apart without bending them. Maybe hammer out the stamped part? Anyone know what I'm talking about?

Maybe I should post pics....

It's a crushable gasket. DO NOT pry apart. gasket is designed to compress when manifold bolts are tightened.
