car running insainly rich, no idea?
ok so my 92 sc300 is running insainely rich, so bad it misfires and puts fuel smoke out the tail pipes. Took out the plugs #6 looked BLACK and #4 and #5 were kinda black but not too bad, the rest were ok, so i replaced #6 injector cause i only got 2 out of the 6 i was supposed to get. So i put the car back together, same problem. When you start it, it runs fine, but kinda rich, then bout 30 seconds after running it runs super rich and misfires. Im lost on ideas.... anyone have experence with this?

I had a similar problem right after I put my throttle body back on and it was because I forgot to connect the wire harness that controls the electric choke. It started and reved pretty high then just sputtered and died because the mix was too rich with that choke closed. Once I plugged it back in, it was fine.
You could try cleaning out the throttle body and making sure the butterfly valves are clean and functioning. And make sure all the electrical connections to the throttle body are solid. Check the mass air sensor?
Good luck.

well the car runs, and at times it clears right up. IF it sits for more then 6hrs it would run really rich and then clear up after a few mins, but recently it did it all the time. Its running alot richer then a choke, its so much fuel it spits it out the tail pipes, and u can ligtht the smoke on fire lol... Mass air looks fine, everything looks connected ok.. Its the rear 3 pistons that look rich, and #6 was super black, and i replaced that injector and has same problem. When its cold outside, the car actually runs good, and when it sits in the sun all day, it runs bad. I can only think its the ecu?
