Default Buying an SC for a project, Qs

Hello everyone, I'm new to the forum. My current car is a 91 MR2 Turbo and I'm going to sell it and pick up an SC. I'd prefer to get an SC300 /w a 5 spd. But that's nearly impossible, I have yet to see one on the autotrader.ca. My goal for this project would be to make it pretty similar to this car;
http://www.jtuned.com/media/photobox...&box=&shownew=

Since SC400s are pretty common, I was going to pick one up for around $8500-$11,000. And do a 2JZ-GTE or 1JZ-GTE swap along with the transmission. Has anyone done the @JZ-GTE swap /w the 6spd tranny? I've recently swapped out the auto. tranny in my 94 TT Supra with a 6spd and it was a piece of cake. Is there any major concerns about this swap? Or should I buy an SC300 on the internet (ebay maybe?), correct me if I'm wrong here.. And just turbo the 300 because its got the 2JZ-GE in it already. Which one would everyone recommend?

Secondly, almost all the interiors of the SCs are tan/beige. Is there a preferred year when the SC came with a black interior? I've seen some pics on here where people have dyed some interior pieces. Has anyone done the full interior, ie; carpets, full dash etc.

do a search, there are threads answering all of your questions...

black interiors began in 95...

easier to install a 6speed on a 95+ SC because the tunnel is wider i believe...but possible on all years...

#1... search the forums

#2... check autotrader.com... there are about 20 SC with a 5-speed tranny.

#3... if you want to build a car like the one pictured... be prepared to spen well over $100,000. you could get the body kit, and a 1JZ-GTE, but to biuld that car the way Ueno did, you would need a WHOLE lot more.

#4... welcome to clublexus
