Magnaflow Race Series Installed
After much research I made the 10 hour round trip to Miami yesterday to get my exhaust work done. Why the 10 hour drive you ask? - Well I wanted mandrel bent pipe and no one in Tampa has a mandrel bending machine (they all have crush bending machines - not good). I deleted everything after the O2 sensors and replaced it with an X-Pipe and twin Magnaflow Race Series Model 14851 mufflers. The 14851 is visually identical to the ever popular 14829, however the internal baffling is setup differently - go to Magnaflow's webpage to see the difference. I am thoroughly pleased with the results. The rolled tips look right at home on the back end of the SC. The sound is like a cross between a LS1V8 and a Ford 4.6L - however it is deeper than both - and thanks to the X-Pipe, there is absolutely NO sloppy gargling on decelleration. It is quiet at idle and at cruising speed - at WOT it sounds, in a word, Awesome. I feel as though I may have lost a hair of low end torque - but it is too soon to tell. Also, on the trip back I picked up an extra MPG on fuel. Until I get around to to taking some video - the pictures will have to suffice.

Thanks guys - I'll take some in car vid over the next couple days. I can't really rev it in the driveway - neighbors are picky. It does sound great though - I was driving all over town today with the windows down just to hear it - I can't wait to hear it in the parking garage at work,
