Default single or dual?

okay... i brought this up on another thread but nobody answered it.... so maybe i'll give it another shot.

my goal is to get better gas mileage on a 300. does going single exhaust help or not? if so... why? and how? and where can i get a stock bumper that only has one outlet.

as far as i know . a single exaust will not give you better gas mileage.
