skidplate important?

i guess you would call it a skidplate mine on my sc300 is all bent up could i just remove it i never drive on gravel all highway miles. whats your opinion on this?

i had to take mine off because the idiots who replaced the power steering pump on my old sc400 didnt bolt it all back up properly and it was sagging down, but i never had any problems after i took it off

It isn't really that important but then again it isn't very expensive to replace at the dealer at all. I should be buying one for my car soon.
