Default Auto to 6speed

What all parts besides the tranny will i need to transform an auto into a 6 speed? Would it be easyer if i started with a 5speed? (dont have a sc300 YET) Any help would be appreciated. Also with the 6 speed how does it affect my gearing/performance? Thanks for all the help!

If you don't have a Lexus yet, why set yourself up for a huge unnecessary expense and effort? Just take your time, and find a nice 5-speed manual model.

But, if you must, for the getrag, you'll need a different clutch, shortened driveshaft, minor modification to the tranny tunnel, AND a Supra differential... the SC300 final gearing will not be a usable match to the Getrag output

i converted my auto to 6 speed and used the 6 speed rear end. You need to LENGTHEN the driveshaft and not shorten it. Pm me for more info

you do not need the supra rear diff. the 5-speed SC rear will work fine with the gearing. its fine for daily driving and good at the track too. just gonna have to get an aftermarket LSD for it so it doesnt break.
