The soarer trans was mated to the 1jz which is a twin turbo so I would hope it is stronger than the n/a sc300 tranny....

Nope I have one I came with my swap that I don't need. Just wondering if it's an upgrade to anyone else before I advertise it.

The Soarer trans has been known to take up to 450-500rwhp. You should at the very least get a shift kit and an aftermarket transmission cooler to support that.

If you want to go higher then that you have 2 choices.

You could have a rebuilt tranny for: $3075

Or you could buy the rebuild kit yourself and have someone do the conversion for you. Cost of the kit is: $499 or $589 depending on which kit you got.

You can find details on the rebuilt transmission and the rebuild kits here...

The trans from the Soarer is the : A340E

Boostlogic (www.boostlogic.com) also do rebuilds of this transmission but I do not know if they sell the rebuild kits on thier own or not.

Boost Logic does the built tranny for $1800 - a pretty good price. I'm also interested in upgrading to a soarer automatic once I get boost

Do the driveshafts off of a 1JZ fit in a w58 transmission? Does anyone know?

good question.... but why wouldnt you just use the stock driveshaft if the w-58 matted to the 1JZ, that works fine. i dont see why it wouldnt work though.
