Air Flow Signal/Sensor

Confused by S-AFC installation - ATTN VSC
Guys/Dennis,
OK, I am going through the installation for the S-AFC and I am pretty confused by what I have read so far. I would like to thank Dennis for his write-up, which although confusing me, is helping a great deal.
In Dennis' write up - he says that you use brown, black, pink, orange, grey, green and red. This would leave the blue, white and yellow open.
But, when it comes to the ECU diagram it says that the yellow is the airFlow/Pressure Signal OUTPUT, and the white is Air Flow/Pressure Signal Input.
From the T7-a diagram you need the following wires
Ground - Black and Brown
IG Power - Red
Throttle Signal - ?
Air Flow Signal - ? ( Input or Output?)
RPM SIgnal 1 - ?
RPM Signal 2 - ?
Then later on (post 19) it says use RPM2 not RPM 1 - now this confuses me even more as this means I have a spare wire.
Basically, and it may be on the website but I haven't found it, I need to know which color wires go to which of the above wires.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Jonny

Power = Red
TPS = Gray
Ground = Brown
Ground = Black
A/F signal out = pink
A/F signal in = orange
Tach/RPM = Green
you would not use white or yellow because that's used for MAP (Mass Air Pressure) which we do not have. Instead you would use pink and orange wires. You would simply tape these up so they don't touch something and get shorted out.
this leaves the blue wire. This is used to gauge O2 sensor readout. This drains a lot of voltage out of the S-AFC. Trust me and leave this one aside taped up and don't use it. it's not too accurate anyways because of the voltage drop and delay that's caused by it.
so like I said in the original thread, use brown, black, pink, orange, grey, green and red
tape up white, yellow and blue and don't use them.

your ECU has RPM1 and RPM2 but S-AFC only has 1 RPM signal wire. You connect the S-AFC RPM signal wire to the RPM1 on the ECU.... no spare wires....
basically you are hooking up the green wire on the S-AFC to the RPM1 on the ECU... leave RPM2 on the ECU alone

makes no difference =)
but be like me and use RPM2.
if I remember correctly I think I used RPM 2 because the wire was on top and RPM1 was on the bottom.....

Dennis,
cool cool - I will go with the 2 so we can together!!
Now one other question. If I just splice this bad boy in and keep it off, it won't affect my car at all right>? I ask this because I will be installing it at home, and then driving to the dyno place for them to tune it.
So I will be ok right as I know absolutely nothing about the settings.
Lemme know man,
Peace,
Jonny

You said to use the pink and then below you said to tape up the pink. I am confused again!!
Please help,
Thx man,

I don't understand how they all connect together. What is the difference between this and the ground wires that you put both on the one ECU wire?
Will this mean I will have to cut my ECU air flow wire?
Thx man,
jonny

i used the connectors that came with the S-AFC package for the ECU A/F wire
the rest i used vampire clips
what's the difference? I don't know but I don't care to find out
