Idle Surge
I have a 96 SC400 w/ 130k on it. While I'm away at college it stays outside parked on a hill which really scares me. So I come home today, finally being able to drive her for the first time in a few weeks and when i start it up it hesitates, the lights dim, and my aftermarket radio won't turn on.
I figure Ok, low battery, I'll let it sit and charge. Then, the idle begins to slowly rise until it's over 2000 RPM! I decide to back it into my driveway where it's flat and take a look around. The rusted brakes sigh as I slowly back it down the hill and as I put it back into park, the revs start fluctuating between 500 and 2000 RPM! No break, just uuuup, dooooown, uuuuuppp, doooooown.
I found in this thread: https://www.clublexus.com/forums/sho...ght=idle+surge and the all knowing Manaray said it could be low coolant level. If it's something else should I even dare to drive it or what else could be the cause?
