Default air noise (not what you think)

im trying to record a strange sound coming from the car.. it seems like it happens if i do a 1/4 throttle around a wide turn. its at a point far enough underneath where it sounds like it might be coming from any direction. its a very distinct "buzzing sound" that sounds like the buzz you hear if you're holding a finger up to a spinning rubber fan blade

i figured id make a half *** attempt at recording it by holding my PDA outside while reproducing it but it got drowned out by wind noise. any ideas on what the mechanical problem might be or how i can record it without too much effort. i would take the car into a shop and all but honestly i have no time. plus you are all way smarter than any mechanic around here anyway

my bad about the misleading title.. its late and i couldnt think of anything better...

AND, almost forgot.. im sporting the 1UZ

PS im sure ppl were wondering why i was gonna throw my PDA out but im sure if i explained it to them they wouldnt care. so if you saw me dangle my PDA today wacko jacko style from my SC you can just relax

well could it be the differential? what sound does that make when its going out? or maybe the crankshaft pulley... (is that the same thing as a harmonic balancer?)
