wrecked Sc fixing
OK guys some of you remember me with my wrecked SC400
Well I know it needs it's left frame rail straightened, a new front bumper and all lights, radiator support, front quaters and hood. That is all fine.
Here is my concern. The car has 228K miles on it, before it was wrecked it drove like new ( touch wood ) I know it needs it's timing belt done. Other than that it still actually drives ok even being wrecked like that ( allthough not street legal at all ) it needs a new battery but once it is started it does blow some smoke for a while and the exhaust fumes are STRONG, is this just because it sits for a long time in between startups ??
I guess my question is I know the engines are great in these cars, what should I expect from th etranny etc.
I don't want to sink $5k into fixing it then have a major drivetrain issue screw me if you follow me.
Thanks guys.

i second that, except you should sell the wreck on ebay and you will get a lot more than a local junkyard. 5k you might have put in it, add the money you made selling the wreck and pick the best SC you can find at a good price.
