Default Some type of performance chip on ebay

Hi, I'm new here. I've been coming to this forum for a while but never registered because I never did anything to my 93 SC400, but I'm just doing a few things to it now. Anyway, I saw this on ebay and I actually called the guy to ask him what the installation requires. He said I would need to find the "IAC" (Idle air control?) unit before I bought it. Does anyone here think this thing actually does what he claims it does?

ok lets go over this once again, I understand you are new and probably not checked the forum yet but things like this have been discussed many times, and of course their outcomes are all the same, anything you want to buy for that cheep and expect it to actually work will most likely not do jack **** or it will mess something up. So I would say take that 30 bucks they want and go buy your self something nice because you will enjoy that much more than this "power chip". And honestly I don’t mean to sound like a smart *** or anything I truly mean what I am saying.

Welcome!

If it really worked like it claims, I think everyone on this forum would want a piece of it..But seriously, a logo'ed black box with a Home Depot made "performance chip" isn't gonna do our cars any good. Save your $20 dollars+shipping and bring your girl out for a movie.

He is right. If those things were to do what the seller says they were designed to do then I'd think there would be alot of people in this forum buying this item. A while back a friend of mine bought the cheap chip that supposably makes your honda gain 20hp and it actually ended up not working. He says it might have made him slower. I wouldnt trust those things unless they were tested by a well known racing company and they write a good review on it.

Looks to me like a radioshack box. This is a total rip off.

Yeah, that's basically what I thought. If I had actually believed it, I woulda just bought it. The pricing and how it looked so janky made me skeptical but hey, who knows...I thought the 1 in a million chance that it would work was worth asking though. Thanks.

Notice he has only 2 pins hooked up, neither are the power pins.

He is using the backside of a dual NAND gate chip which if wired straight through produces resistance. The resistor obviously just didn't look as cool, so he decided to do it this way. For about the same amount of resistance you can also use dog *^% wrapped in aluminum foil

I'll take them!
At 10-13hp per resistor, if I wire 300 of them inline, I'll be looking at a 3000-3900HP gain for $15!

Hey i have a question has anyone heard of this website?

20horsepower.com advertising a power chip was wondering does anyone know of this and if so is this powerchip any good or junk?

Was wondering what brand and website can i go to and buy a powerchip for my 1993 Lexus Sc400?

And one more thing has anyone used or know anything about this site www.Turbonator.com

Are you serious? Do you even need to ask? My respect for you is droping fast. Why do people think there is always some magic box that can increase power.
