intake question
#2
I have a 92 SC300 and have tried the BFI and Injen I prefer the Injen, it felt like it had better response on the low end.
Try the BFI it is a very cost effective DIY and does work well. If fyou are not familiar with the BFI do a search and you will find a ton of write ups.
Either way you will not be sorry.

Just kidding man. This topic has been covered hundreds of times so search intake or BFI and you will gain plenty of knowlege.

I made a plate that replaces the stock panel filter, and am using a 10" long, 6" diameter K&N element, placed in the center of the panel, put a stud through the center of the filter with a cap on the end, nylok nut.
This took care of the tuning problems I was having when over 4,000rpm with the K&N panel replacement and using no front on the airbox(cut it out completely).
If the car runs lousy after putting a bigger filter on, that's likely a good sign, and that you need to re-tune the air/fuel mixture to regain the correct mixture again.
