Yeah, got that. I was wondering if the 300 and 400 water pump pulleys are the same part (or are interchangeable).

V8's don't have a fan pully - it's a hydraulic pump that drives the fan.

According to my local dealer, they are the same part #. Could someone PLEASE verify this before I drive 700mi to pick up a car and find out the pulley don't work?

The 400 water pump is powered by the timing belt.

Now I'm confused.. If the fan is driven by a hydraulic pump and the waterpump is driven by the timing belt, why is there a pulley on the fan? Where does it connect, and is it the same as the SC300 waterpump/fan pulley?

the water pump on the sc400 is kinda hidden from view.. its under the plastic covers, and is driven by the cam belt.. it is not cogged, and is driven from the flat side of the cam belt..
the fan pulley? the sc400 has a hydraulic fan driven by an oil pump.. this can be seen from the front, as it is external..this is driven from the flat side of the accesory belt..
these are 2 different pulleys... i hope tha clears it up..
i dont know about the sc300 pulleys..

Thanks for the info. I'll have to look at some pics to see the part that drives the fan. The 300 is very simple... the waterpump is driven by the acc belt and the fan bolts to the pulley. I'm also wondering if the PS cooler on the 400 also cools the tranny fluid (in addition to the cooler in the radiator).

Eh, maybe the other side of the PS cooler is for the fan fluid (like blinker fluid?). What a bunch of unnecessary BS..
