Default 2JZGTE from dealership?

Anybody know how much this would cost?
I've heard numerous claims.. some say its 2500 for engine only, no turbos etc..
6500 for complete?

I thought i'd just ask here before i ask the dealership.

talk to curt aigner at elmhurst toyota or jeff watson at jaymarks toyota. Those 2 are the big oem dealers on supra forums and will usually give you around 30% off list price.

what do you mean calvin? Like a crate motor type deal? Im not sure if they do that but you can order all parts necessary to have a brand new motor at the very least. I know the short block comes preassembled but im not sure if they have a complete head or a complete longblock. Like i said, the best prices are going to come from the dealerships i listed and mike listed but remember that youre going to have to pay shipping.

if there once was a complete 2jzgte from factory.. then there still should be. to my knowledge parts are still available at the dealer 10 years after the car has been produced.

but either way.. you can build a brand new 2jzgte like rscott said

toyota supra was produced until september 2002 in japan. Only US production came to an end in 1998.
It would be silly for toyota to not keep several hundred crated 2JZ-GTE's in their warehouse being that it's only been 2 years since the car stopped production and also being that the engine was in their production car for 10 years.
It's only been 2 years since toyota stopped production so yes, Jeff Marks toyota (who gets JDM parts on regular basis) would be able to get brand new crated engines directly from Toyota.

through the normal toyota network you can get the block $2k+ the head casting $1300ish valves, springs, retainers, guides, gasket set, cams all equal another crapload of separate costs. Then assemble it all, more $.

but in either case, if a brand new motor is what he wants and has the means to get it, then by all means more power to him. I believe jeff watson will actually be the cheaper route to go. On supraforums his sn is jwatson. Look in the Sponsor forums on supraforums under champion/jay marks and elmhurst toyota. If you do a search im sure someone has already posted asking for quotes.
