Default turbo parts list

I've been very very busy lately...
DaveH Basic kit - $1965 (includes $45 shipping) (nonturbo.com)
-T04E Compressor on turbo with GN Turbine Side with .63 ar.,
-38mm Tial wastegate vented to the atmosphere,
-Wastegate dumppipe,
-3" downpipe,
-Cast-Steel manifold
-3" K&N Filter
-3" Midpipe
additional parts
-oil line kit 165.00 (store.mid-westsupra.com)
-Used SMIC and Piping 300.00 (probably from a forum member)
-HKS Universal BOV 205.00 (store.mid-westsupra.com)
-HKS BOV flange 32.00 (store.mid-westsupra.com)
-walbro gss341 95.00 (boostlogic)
-autometer boost gauge 47.99 (suprastore.com) mechanical/electrical
-k&n breather 10.00 (ebay) how many breather's?
-MISC: clamps,bolts 200.00

Total 3019.99

recirculation kit for bov is it necessary?
3" air intake pipe included?
union bolts (from what car)?

Already have SAFC II for tuning

I am looking to run only 7-8 psi .

well that is my list so far... If anyone see's a need for changes whether it be better pricing or additional parts I need, opinions, please tell me since I have never turboed a car before so I have many questions. To begin with:
1) As for the recirculation kit, absolutely need one to prevent my car from stalling? Does it help that I am OBDI I searched supraforums and there seems to be no definite answer as most na-t don't talk about it. Is this related to problems with bov venting to atmosphere?
2) Is the intake pipe included with the that DAVEH basic kit?
3) I read that someone used IS300 union bolts or something...It's used for the oil lines right?
4) How much more hidden costs should I expect from this approx. $3000 setup assuming I do the work myself? What if I get a shop to do it?

Thanks a lot everyone.
Oh yeah I really want to keep the stock exhaust....at least for now

How come you're buying the tubo kit from nonturbo.com and most of the other stuff from mid-west?
The kit is cheaper at mid-west.

I did a write-up HERE on how to eliminate the stalling problems while keeping the BOV vented to atmosphere.
For some reason a lot of people don't trust my write-up.
People still say that there is no other solution.

Good luck.

sorry will have to disapprove of this. he doesn't know much anything about it as he just gets the parts straight from dave h. Bob is also very difficult to communicate with. it took me little over 2 months to get my parts and am missing lots of misc bolts/ gaskets that should have been included. stay with kevin from nonturbo or go straight to dave.

from personal experience i can say kevin communicates well. there was an issue where a part i ordered was charged twice on my statement but he fixed it with no problem. not sure about the price differences.

i will be ordering from boostlogic though. i have yet to hear about a dissatisfied customer

I agree the sale on boostlogic is a great deal...I just don't know if it will be around when I have all my money to front all of it at once.

I have the boostlogic kit and it is a TOP notch kit.

But you will need to get a blow off valve, the kit does not include it. If you want to run more then wastegate boost you will need some more parts.

Charles - for 7lbs of boost you should be ok. You may want to change out the lexus fuel pressure regulator for a TT supra. You can get them very cheap at a shop that does supra upgrades. I got mine given to me. the differance between the 2 are a supras is a raising rate.
I found this to work well.

do you really need to upgrade the pressure regulator since he's only boosting 7-8 psi?
and im assuming he will be running stock compression as well?

I will be running stock compression. As for the boostlogic kit, I would really want one but I don't know if the sale will be there through june when for sure I will have all my funds ready for my project. As for the pressure regulator, I really don't know what it does and have not researched on it since I have not come across the issue with people running low boost.

oh yeah and Sportcoupe, the people on supraforums say it hasn't helped them so I don't know if anyone has found a definite solution to that problem...But would that problem be very relevant under low boost?

At low boost on stock injectors and no headgasket. The stock should work ok. That is why I am not suggesting a aftermarket aerotec FPR. I found with my setup before I started going for big hp that the tt supra FPR just worked better. I just had a nicer fuel curve. It is a direct swap, no drilling or modifing and you can find them for free. Thats the only reason I suggested it.
