motor looks like it needs a nice aftermarket radiator from the new source of heat (turbo) with not a lot of breathing room.
but that's some damn great work.

hi awj, i think your talking about the maf--blow thru? we used to call turbos that blow thru carbs " a blow thru system".. so far no problems-- the maf is a hearty piece.. if you look at other turbo setups on these v8s i think almost all have been the same-- but then again, i dont think many have boosted very high.. so far at the 7-8 psi bob is at everything seems fine..
i do think that if we had more boost, the engine will need a seperate way to get fuel to the engine--in our case via an extra injection controller.. i have had good results with extra injectors and extra injector controllers on turbo setups--especially street cars..
although an EMS would be the ultimate setup for the track, i think the factory ecu is the best at keeping the car driveable on a daily bassis.. but when your boosting-- you need to get a large amount of extra fuel to the cyl.. but how often is the car boosting? probably at the most about 5% of the time the car is being driven.. so the xtra injection controller and extra injectors that only come on when needed -to me- is how were gonna take care of more boost..
this may be sooner rather than later. MORE BOOST PLEASE!!!

A blow through carb would be a nightmare to me. But I'm no tuner. I just would expect that the little oscillating disc up in the plastic thing will break sooner or later. That's if it's karmen... I think hotwire will take it better.
