back to the topic at hand. Its really hard to diagnose anything without first pulling the codes. After you do that, we'll be able to tell you what it is.
When my egr started on the fritz (still is) i started pulling codes every couple hundred miles.
but again its hard to say anything until codes are pulled

in the engine bay youll find the diagnostics port (not sure where since its an sc4), but jumper ports T1 and TE1.
I believe thats it, they will be diagonally right next to each other. Someone else please confirm this.

ouch...
Code 21:
OXYGEN SENSOR SIGNAL/OXYGEN SENSOR HEATER SIGNAL
OPEN OR SHORT IN OXYGEN SENSOR OR OXYGEN SENSOR SIGNAL
good news is its probably an easy fix...bad news is the o2 sensors can be a little pricey

i'm not too familiar with the codes, is this code means that there is actual physical problem with the sensor itself?

means the ecu isnt getting signal from the o2 sensor. It may be all clogged up and burnt out that its just not producing the same voltage anymore.
