Default NEED help to pinpoint problem

Hi Lexus folks,

My 92 SC400 has a problem, problem started a few weeks ago. The car does not start at times. It cranks but will not start(while hot after use from startup). At first I thought it was my fuel pump going, so my mechanic connected a valve temp to fuel line to read fuel pump pressure when the car does not want to start. It happened last night and the guage indicated 40lbs pressure. I waited 2 hours and it started right away. I then went to store, turned off the car went inside and this time it started right away. Also this problem does not happen when the car has been parked overnight.

One more thing to mention, my car has been working fine(starting without problem) for 10 consective days since this problem first occured and last night was the second time. Its scary because the problem is not consisent .

I am not sure where to start. Any ideas?????

thanks

So you're saying when this problem occurs, no matter how long you crank it, it does not even try to start, or do you hear attempts but it chokes and dies.
What have you tried while starting?
Have you tried pumping the gas?
Have you tried holding WOT?
When was last tuneup done?

No matter how long I crank it the car does not starrt.

I have tried pumping gas when it does not start, nothing happens.

Just did a full tuneup, plugs, wires, cap and rotor.

Not sure what "WOT" means????
