im about to build an exhaust for my sc and i was wondering, if anyone has had experience with the tanabe racing medallion, or the apexi n1's. i have a buddy with an rx7 with dual n1's and it sounds sweet, but i've never heard an sc with n1's any insight on this will be helpfull.

the apexi n1 sounds great on a supra turbo. never heard it on a na 2jz engine though. the apex n1 has a very deep tone.

edit: i just saw the video, my friend's exhaust sounds diff than that one. maybe it's the video but his sounds nothing like that . I think the IS in the video still had the cats and resonators on. My friend doesn't. That is probably the cause of the sound difference.

yea thats what i thought, i just watched the movie that mteele showed. the n1 was deep and the hks carbon ti sounded more open.... im still deciding though ok so you are saying the n1 sound isn't accurately depiced in the movie? i have a friend with an rx7 with the n1's and it sounded alot like the IS with the n1

dont forget the turbo will muffle the tone alot so much that a turbo/non turbo car are almost not comparable.
ie. back when i had my supra...i took a race pipe off of my friends TT which had no cats. Slapped it on my car in the same garage that he started his car plenty of times and i set the alarm off on his grandpa's car. Even with both cats in and the stock header, my NA car was much much louder than his no cat turbo car.

For the N1s there is the NA muffler then the turbo muffler. On my old NA civic the NA N1 sounded like s*^t. The turbo sounded alright. On turbos cars the N1 sounds very goooood. The tanabe I heard once on an NA car and it was loud but deep, on turbo cars they sound very nice aswell. If I had a choice for an All motor car id say tanabe then for turbo go either way.
