What goes here on the back of the SC300 Engine? I think it may have to do with why I'm getting water into my back 2 spark plug holes.

Thumbs up

there shud be a some sort of cover in there........it bolts up with 4 allen screws....
but that is prolly not the reason why water gets in there. check right above that same area and
look at the rubber linings that sits on the edge. water gets in there if those rubbers are not properly
seated or sealed. trust me cuz it happend to me while driving under the rain. my car started to install
and was running with 5 cylinders instead of 6...........well, it sure sounded like it!
just apply sealant around that area, open your hood, and splash or pour lot's of water in front of yr
windshield and observe if there is a leak...that's the only way you can find out where's it's leaking
towards the back of the engine head.

good luck!! let me know what the result is.

Yeah that is loose, my guess is its a combination of those two things. I'm going to seal that rubber piece with some clear silicon I have.

Silicon is a losing effort against water. Best way is to avoid getting water anywhere above the valve covers. I washed my motor thoroughly one day and got water around the covers/gaskets, through the spark plug covers, and around the plug wires. It took me 4-5 hours to completely get it dry. USed a wet dry vac and some small air hose to get into the plug holes. What a nightmare that was. Good luck if you try it with silicon.

I meant I'm just going to reattach that rubber piece using some silicon caulk. Not seal the spark plugs with silicon!
