Default shift problems

we all know that the automatic sc300 is a 4 speed tranny and i have recently been having problems with my car, and now my 1st gear shifts really high at about 3250 rpm or even more sometimes.

i have been told to stop messing with the TPS and just mess with the cables, and the transmission cable to be exact...
can anyone else tell me at what rpm there car shifts when just crusing becuase i haven't driven my car in a week and my memory sucks and i'm positive it shifted between 2-3000 rpm but a more exact number would be appreciated
