Default revisit to the dyno. 92 SC400 results

okay like moron that I am, I left the dyno sheet behind at the shop.

final results.
214.3 rwhp
238.6 rwtq

my last run I ran 210.xx rwhp and 230.xx rwtq

only changes made since the last dyno (almost a year ago) was;
supra LSD with 4.27 gears (I don't know how this would have affected it
S-AFC tuned for low settings + refined high settings
mufflers are now gone and added cherry bombs. (better weight distribution)

other than that it has
walbro 255 LPH fuel pump
airbox cut out (no BFI)
S-AFC (this time both low and high settings were tuned)
2.5" exhaust with x-pip and cherry bomb, no muffler, dual outlet tips

I am approaching Peter Scott's HP output levels with Nulon additive. He's best was 219.52rwhp or 163.7rwkw

I think I can have him beat (in HP's only) if I go with headders and finish up the BFI.

turbo is not in my future. I'll want to australian root style supercharger instead (zero lag). My car is getting the knife and most stuff will be gutted out and turned into a track car by next summer. I think the weigh in should be tad under 3200.

hehe ... I haven't been able to have a proper chat with you in weeks but I see you have come to the same conclusion as to why I want to go the supercharger route as well.

I only have one possible explanation as to why the lsd may affected your dyno hp numbers. It may be because you can't do a proper pull at a 1 to 1 ratio. Were there any increases to torque? Change in torque would be a better estimate as to whether there were gains from last time you dyno.

Wow, really nice gains..

178hp -> 214.3hp = +36.3hp
205tq -> 238.6tq = + 33.6tq

Have you ever been to the tracks, 1/4 times?? I think you should be able to hit low 14's or high 13's with your mods.. now you just need a torque converter

i would be lucky to hit high 14's with what i have. Car is just too damn heavy. I am in the process of removing a lot of weight from the car.

hmm.. i don't understand why you would only hit high 14s with those mods though... my cousin ran his '92 SC400 last year with just BFI intake and HKS mufflers (not even full cat-back) and full interior.. and he ran a 15.168 @ 92mph with a 2.311 60'.. so with your mods and looking at your dyno's, you should hit lower than high 14's i would think..

here are his times.. changed his sn to tadao916
