im in the process of picking up a 95 sc400 with 120K for about 9G. i really wanted a sc300 manual but it seem damm near impossible plus i need the financing im only 19 almost 20 buying the car with MY own money. my plan is to drive and mod the sc4 until i can find a sc3 5spd. use the 4 as a daily driver. and then swap over the brakes suspension and whatever else. i have probably 2G for my first wave of mods. what do you guys recommend to get??? i wanted the tein flex edfc and mangaflow dual exhaust first with maybe injen intake and hi flow cat. then the TQ and LSD swap. i dotn plan to race teh 4 just use it as a criuser. let me know your thoughts thanks in advance.

i would save the money for the sc3, you wont get any mod money back when you sell the sc4.

its either imma drive the sc4 as a daily driver or transfer parts over to the sc3 and convert it back to stock and sell it. i know the sc3 is better but i cant wait i need a car right now.

i dont konw man i've been thinking about it..... i know its a good deal to get a sc3 with 5sp and do a 2jz SWAP. but thats is gonna run about 15-18 grand.... i would rather get a supra 6sp with that money and just drive the sc4. i luv the look of the sc with vertex and rims just so clean. but i loved the supra ever since i was 15...... but i think no matter wut the sc4 will get built even if i dont get a sc3.

you can find a nice sc300 5spd for 10 g's. just be patient and if your lucky you can even find a good one for 3 g's but it'll probably have 180k miles or more. I dont know if your just looking locally but you should consider any location since a good 5spd is hard to find. I wouldn't waste my time getting the sc4 if your gonna sell it to get the sc300 5spd later on. by the time you sell the sc4 it'll have dropped in value and the sc300 5spd would of gotten rarer and perhaps increase in value who knows. Also swaping parts over will be alot of labor and extra cost. so why not just get the car you intended to get in the first place. Theres always sc300 5 speeds going up for sale but sometimes the owners are just asking more than some people are willing to pay for one.

well my funds are coming for the car end of this month and probably 1st week of nov. if the sc i want is sold by then, then off i go looking for something else, right behind the sc is the GS400 im also looking at its a 2000 gs4 plat. edition. with 58K miles they're asking 23000 which i think isnt that bad of a deal. but as of right now its the sc4 and i dont plan on getting an sc3 but maybe a supra in about 2 years. but it all depends on what i can find when the money is in. i have a habit of jumping around but im sticking to a lex for sure my first car when i was 16 was a 91 ls400 i loved that thing to death and i pretty much drove it to death. addicted to the V8 help
