Default Overheating Problem

Guys,

MY car started overheating today for the first time, even though today wasn't half as hot as it usually is. It is dark so I didn't get to check the coolant reservoir to see if I am low - if not what else should I check??

I have no coolant leaking or smell of coolant anywhere.

Any ideas?

Jonny

LOL.....Sorry bro, that car needs to be dumped...This is unbelieveable...

Maybe its really a Hyundai on the inside and a SC body on the outside...

Whatever unimagineable things you can think of has probably been done to that car by now..

Check radiator, leaky hose, thermostat, or, considering that its your car, a blown head gasket.

Johnny I'm sorry to hear all these problems with the car.
I wish I can help you find some justice but this is the best I can offer
I won't be able to do any leasure travel till february... but I am willing to go out to oklahoma and work on the car with you for 5 days. if you decide to keep it till then.
I can bring good amount of tools and crew of 3 out with me.

until then try burping the system and perhaps you'll also need a thermostat.
hoses, fans, fan oil etc etc... check everything....

good luck.

Hey man,

That is one of the most kindhearrted and thoughtful gestures I have ever received. However, I cannot take up your free time and that of your friends for the sake of my car. Truly a great offer but I could never accept. Now if you guys wanna come hang out and drink some beer then I would love to have you guys, but I would never take your vacation time away. I am sure u work extremely hard for it and deserve to spend that time with your family or relaxing.

Anyway, hopefully by that time the forces of nature will strike down upon it with great vengeance and furious anger!!!

Thank you again man, very awesome of u to offer.

Peace,
Jonny

maybe a bottle of water wetter would help?

Redline Water Wetter
Add a bottle of this to your radiator and drop up to 20 degrees off your water temperature. Hard to believe but its been proven time & time again, and of course its completely harmless to your motor & can be ran for tens of thousands of miles (we've done it!). Price is per bottle. Generally you use one bottle per car, 2 at the most. We suggest putting it everything from your high performance sport car to your SUV to your beater car.

best o' luck

Well guys,

Firstly, thank you everyone for your help with this matter. You guys are a great bunch and I would be honored to buy any of you a beer.

I replaced the thermostat and O ring and $30 later I think we have success. I drove the car around for about 15 mins in the heat and the temp gauge stayed where it was supposed to!!

Finally something has gone right on the car!!! So, now I am assuming something will be breaking pretty soon!!

Thx again guys,

Peace,
Jonny
