indy,
It's a common problem on V8 Soarers/SC400's, but make it a priority to get it rebuilt, ASAP as the fluid will eventually kill your alternator (as what happened with my friend's Soarer V8), check your PS pump as well.
Wait... I know the pump is a common problem, maybe the resevoir is as well?

I know mine groans a little too, I just add fluid and it stops. I know I have a leak in my PS pump somewhere. I'm assuming it's that damn o-ring at the bottom of the reservoir.

if its groaning you probably are low on fluid. you should also check your rack
and pinion. i had to change my pump and rack and pinion out at around 130k.
as for the bad tires. you should also check out the bushings in the lower and upper control arms. if there play w the bushings you will get uneven tire wear. simple fix is you can search the forum for TM engineering. and order the daizen bushing kit for a 150$ that replaces all the upper and lower bushings in the front end. this is much cheaper than to do the whole control arm, that lexus sells 600 a set. all youll need is a mecanic with a bushing press.

LOL! Sometimes I am in search mode and forget how old some of the stuff I am reading is. I have caught myself typing a reply to an ancient thread on more than one occasion.
Don't feel bad dkekim01. We bash for not searching, and then when peeps do search and get mixed up, we bash for that too! hehehe It is fun though.
